Description: The Felicitation Ceremony for the outstanding students and school toppers of classes X and XII was held at Somerville School, Greater Noida, on 6th July 2024 at the Richard Stanley Khemchand Memorial Auditorium. This event recognized the hard work and dedicated efforts of the meritorious students who diligently pursued their goals. The most eagerly awaited ceremony began with an invocation to the Lord Almighty, followed by a prayer song led by the Western Music Choir. Students then presented a classical dance performance to warmly welcome the parents. Students were applauded by the School Principal Dr. Mary Thomas for their outstanding results. Parents were congratulated for their immense efforts in laying the foundation of hard work and dedication in their children. School toppers and subject toppers of classes XII & X were awarded merit certificates and trophies for their academic excellence. Notable achievements include: • Himanshi Nimesh (Humanities Stream): School topper with 98.6%. She scored 100 in Physical Education, 99 in Geography, and 98 in History. • Abhishek Gupta (Science Stream): Secured second position with 97.4%. He achieved 99 in both English and Computer Science, and 96 in Physics. • Ashna Garg (Commerce Stream): Bagged the third position with 96.4%. She scored 99 in Accountancy and 95 in Business Studies. Class X Achievers who made the school proud were honoured thereafter. • Riddhima Jain: School topper with 98.8%, including a perfect 100 in Sanskrit and 99 in Information Technology. • Prapti Yadav: Second highest scorer with 98.6%, achieving 100 in Sanskrit and 99 in Information Technology. • Bhuvi Srivastava: Secured third position with 98.2%, scoring 100 in Sanskrit and 100 in Social Science and Apparel. The Muivah Award for Best All-Rounder in Class X was presented to Prapti Yadav for her holistic development and exemplary performance in various fields. The enthusiasm and triumphant spirit of these young scholars were evident as they received their awards from Principal Dr. Mary Thomas. The ceremony culminated concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vice Principal Mrs. Monisha Claudius wherein she urged the students to uphold this legacy of excellence. The Felicitation Ceremony was a resounding success, filled with pride and joy. It celebrated students' academic achievements and inspired them to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of life. As a temple of learning we remain committed to nurturing and motivating its students to reach their full potential.
