Description: “Poetry is simply the most beautiful, impressive, and widely effective mode of saying things.” Matthew Arnold On August 4th, 2023, Somerville School Greater NOIDA organized an Inter-Section Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition for the enthusiastic students of Class III. The event aimed to inspire and encourage young performers to showcase their talent on stage. Both group and solo performances were featured, with the students presenting various poems centred around the theme of "Festivals" and “Humour.” With great fondness and zeal, the participants recited their poems, revelling in the beauty of expression, thoughts, emotions, and rhythm. The presentations were captivating, demonstrating the students’ impressive articulation and memory skills. They left the audience enthralled and delighted, having witnessed the young poets' remarkable abilities on display. Additionally, this competition provided an excellent opportunity for the participants to gain confidence through exposure to the stage, an experience that will undoubtedly serve them well in the future. The judges of the competition acknowledged and applauded the participants' performances, expressing their appreciation for their efforts. They also took the opportunity to encourage all the students, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and determination in achieving success in all aspects of life. Overall, the Inter-Section Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on both the participants and the audience.
