Preparatory School
  The Nursery and KG Department is always humming with activity. It is a happy place for the little ones full of fun and excitement with caring adults always around to guide and assist them. The programme here is aimed to be child development oriented and child centered. Activities are planned to expose children to a variety of experiences, which enable them to feel happy, secure and confident.  
  Vanamahotsav was celebrated on 21st July. The Nursery children lined up on the lawn in front of the preparatory wing. The Principal and Headmistress encouraged them to watch and participate in the tree plantation drive. In class, the teacher’s explained to the children why it is necessary to plant trees and protect them.  
  From 9th – 13th of August was celebrated as the Patriotic week. Many creative activities were planned to manifest love for the nation.

The Schedule of activities which were held :-

Monday 9th : The children coloured the National Flag in their art files.

Tuesday 10th : The children of KG and Nursery participated in the Camel Art Competition. The topic was “ My Family “ showing the bond of togetherness which signifies Unity in Diversity.

Wednesday 11th : The KG children did thumb painting and made doves to signify freedom and that we are a free nation. The work was displayed on the KG bulletin board. The Nursery children did paper tearing work with a theme “ Flight to Freedom”. They Made kites which was displayed on the nursery bulletin board.

Tuesday 12th : The Hindi Group Recitation Competition of the Nursery was held on this day. This was the first attempt by the students to perform on the stage.

Friday 13th : The Hindi Group Recitation for the KG was held on this day along with the Independence Day programme. Sara Rana gave a rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s poem “ Where the mind is without fear”. The Nursery and KG Children sang patriotic songs. Later the KG children danced to the melody of the song “ Yeh Bharat desh hai mera” The Principal addressed the children and congratulated them on a wonderful performance.
  The Independence Day celebration commenced with a prayer for the country followed by the Indian Music Competition. The program ended with the National Anthem  
  The children recited the poems with great fervor and intensity.  
  To mark the children’s day celebrations, the youngsters came dressed in attractive costumes – from a juicy tomato, a dancing peacock, a beautiful fairy, a divine Radha to the noble Mother Teresa. It was a stupendous show of the imaginative skills of the parents.  
  A western music competition was held to inculcate in the students a sense of rhythm and harmony.  
  A ‘Play Station’ is actually a single unit of slides, ladders, steps and walk paths. It gives the children opportunities for climbing, the excitement and thrill of height and the thrill of sliding down a slope.

The inauguration ceremony of the Play Station took place on a bright Monday morning of 16th November 2009. Our guests of honour were our Director, Mrs. D.A.Tressler and the Secretary/Treasurer, Lott Carey Baptist Mission, Mr. Thomas T Roy, who cut the ceremonial ribbon thus signifying that the playstation was officially ready for use.
